About this site

fsiak.com provides general information about Floyd & Sons, a family company founded in 1977, and the car-rental locations we operate in Anchorage and Seward. We operate those locations as an independent franchisee and licensee. Floyd & Sons is not Hertz, Dollar or Thrifty, and this site is not operated by any of those companies.

The site is for information only. You cannot create an account, make a purchase, make a reservation or get a rate quote here.

Rentals and reservations

Reservations are made on hertz.com, dollar.com or thrifty.com. Each reservation and rental is governed by the rental agreement, terms and privacy policy of the brand you rent from, not by these terms. Rates, vehicle availability, fees, requirements and policies are set and shown on those sites and in your rental agreement.

Any information on this site about locations, hours, services or vehicles is general and may change without notice. Please confirm details with the brand’s reservation site or the location before you travel.

Vehicle sales information

The site may let you ask to be notified about vehicles we have for sale. That request does not reserve a vehicle or create any obligation for you or us.

If we publish vehicle listings, they will be for information only and will not be an offer to sell. In particular:

• every vehicle is subject to prior sale and may no longer be available;
• listed prices do not include tax, title, license or documentation fees;
• photos, equipment, mileage and other details are provided in good faith but may contain errors, and the vehicle itself and the written sale documents control; and
• a sale happens only when you and Floyd & Sons sign written sale documents, which will state the actual terms, including any warranty or the absence of one.

Using the site

You may view, download and print pages from this site for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please do not:

• use the site for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
• try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its hosting or our systems, or interfere with how they work;
• send spam, malware or automated submissions through our contact form;
• scrape, copy or republish substantial parts of the site, or frame it on another site; or
• suggest that you are, or are affiliated with, Floyd & Sons or any rental brand when you are not.

We may change, suspend or remove any part of the site at any time.

Messages you send us

When you use our contact form or email us, please give accurate information and do not include sensitive personal or payment details. Sending us a message does not create a reservation, a rental contract, an employment relationship or any other agreement. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

How we handle the information you send is described in our privacy policy.

Text message program terms

These terms apply to any text message (SMS/MMS) program Floyd & Sons offers, now or in the future. Each program will be described where you sign up, including its name and what kinds of messages it sends.

• Opting in. You join a program only by giving your express consent, for example by checking an unchecked box or texting a keyword. Consent is not a condition of any purchase or of employment. You confirm you are the account holder for the number you provide, or have the account holder’s permission.
• Message frequency. Message frequency varies by program and will be stated when you sign up.
• Costs. Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge for text messages; your carrier’s rates apply.
• Opting out. Reply STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT to any message to opt out. We will send one message confirming that you have opted out, and nothing further unless you opt in again.
• Help. Reply HELP for help, or email info@fsiak.com.
• Delivery. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Messages may not be delivered on every carrier or device.
• Changes. We may change or end a program at any time, and will tell participants by text before a material change.
• Privacy. Our privacy policy explains how we handle mobile numbers. We do not share mobile numbers or opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Hertz®, Dollar® and Thrifty® are registered trademarks of their respective owners. Floyd & Sons, Inc. is an independent franchisee of Hertz System, Inc., Dollar Rent A Car, Inc., and Thrifty Rent-A-Car System, LLC. Those brand names appear on this site only to identify the businesses we operate as a franchisee; no brand logos or artwork are used here.

The Floyd & Sons name, the FSI name and marks, and the rest of this site’s text, photos and design belong to Floyd & Sons or the people who licensed them to us. Except for the personal use described above, you may not use them without our written permission.

Links to other sites

The site links to the rental brands’ websites and to our Instagram and other social-media profiles. Those sites are run by others under their own terms. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and a link does not mean we control or endorse everything on them.

Disclaimers

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but it is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind about the site or its content, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Floyd & Sons and its owners, officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site or any linked site. Because the site is free and informational, our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100).

Some places do not allow certain of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and these terms do not change any rights you have under a rental agreement or a vehicle sale agreement.

Indemnity

If you misuse the site or break these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs, including attorney’s fees, that Floyd & Sons incurs as a result of claims by others.

Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute relating to the site or these terms will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Anchorage, Alaska, and you and we consent to those courts’ jurisdiction.

General terms

• Changes. We may update these terms by posting a new version here with a new “last updated” date. Using the site after an update means you accept the new terms.
• Severability. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
• No waiver. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
• Entire agreement. These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about this site.
